We even store ours on the stove top. I use it almost daily. I love that I can pop it in the oven if I need to keep something warm. I love that the lid does not boil over when it gets too hot because it has a slight release for steam.
I have many pieces of Le Creuset but this is my all-time favorite. I love the black finish because it does not stain and its easy to keep clean. The enamel finish on the inside of the other pots is beautiful but its stains easily and its more difficult to care for.
Thats when you just scrub out add a little oil to the bottom to re-cure it and its ready to go. A good friend visited from the United States and told me there was no way she was taking anything heavy home in her carry-on. Yeah one of these went home with her. She has never regretted it. The bottom of this is labeled made in France cousances.
Le Creuset cousances Are the same company they just droped the name COUSANCES and went with just with Le Creuset sometime in the 80s. This is an extremely well-made pot. It has been around at least since the 80s and is doing a great job. It is in fabulous condition and ready for a new owner. From our home in the French Alps to yours. It is in very good vintage condition, and ready for its next owner. There are a few small irregularities that are quite normal for a piece of this age but none of them affect it looks or cooking ability. Prior to the mechanization that they have now for Le Creuset much of the work was done by hand. This created more irregularities and the classic old French look that many have come to love.
