Very old & rare 1930s/40s Le Creuset #40 enameled cast iron fish pan/ gratin dish with heat ring base and the "fancy handles"-- a common term among collectors. This is the 2nd largest of the fish pan set, which included 4 sizes (45, 40, 35, 30). The base is marked "40 MADE IN FRANCE LE CREUSET" and has the old-style diamond around the number 40. Please see pictures for approximate measurements.

No cracks, a few tiny enamel chips on the edges, as shown in pics. The cooking surface is shiny, smooth, & chip-free with minimal signs of use.

Overall, this looks like it was used maybe a couple times. Very minor storage wear around the outside. There are some of the common production goofs that are typical of vintage Le Creuset, such as enamel pops or bubbles; mold flaws, bumps, or indents; color over-spray or under-spray; etc. These are normal and should be expected. Clean and ready for use.
