Le Creuset Red 3-1/2 Qt (3.4L) Wide Oval Dutch Oven-#27 NEW
This is the absolutely beautiful Le Creuset Cerise/Cherry Red 3 1/2 Qt (3.4 L) Wide Oval Cast Iron Dutch Oven. It is brand new-comes in it's Le Creuset box, (although the box may not be in perfect condition), has the label still on the bottom and the front, as shown, and comes with the product booklet and lid bumpers for protecting the lid for storage. This is one of the Classic Series that has the larger knob on the lid and the larger handles for gripping. It may have the tiniest of "pepper specks" on the lid or a "dimple", or a skip of paint on the edge of the pot or lid, or a variation of paint color in or on it-but--Believe me when I tell you that these are perfectly normal from the manufacturing process of cast iron and do not distract from the beauty or use of this item. Each piece of Le Creuset is a unique item because basically it is made by hand.
This is a very beautiful piece of cookware. Any white specks in the pictures are from my flash, there are no white dots on the lid. It does hold 3 1/2 Qt. (3.4L) and measures 10-3/4(27 cm) long without the handles.
Including the handles it is 13 3/4(34.5 cm) long. It measures 8-1/2(21.5 cm) wide. The pot measures 3.5" (9 cm) high without the lid-with the lid on stands approximately 5-1/2" (14 cm) high. This is a stunningly beautiful piece of cast iron-gorgeous to just sit out on your counter when you aren't cooking in it.
This 3.5 Qt wide oval dutch oven is just the right size to cook a small chicken or pork loin with room to add vegetables along the side. You can start the meal on the stove and then move it directly into a heated oven all in one pot. When the food is done, remove it-set the pot on the stove and make the gravy right in this same pan-or take this pot from the oven-directly to the table and serve the whole meal right from this. I've recently discovered that many people love this size to bake No Knead Bread in and the loaf turns out a great size for slicing.
As with all Le Creuset pots, it goes from freezer to stove top to oven to table and is gorgeous just sitting on a shelf in your kitchen or on the stove top-it's sure to get compliments from anyone who sees it. Set this in the middle of your table or buffet to serve your guests and they are going to fall in love with it. Check back often as I have many other Le Creuset items to list in the next few weeks.
