Le Creuset Signature Marseille Blue 3-1/2 Qt Oval Wide Dutch Oven #27 NEW
This is a Perfectly Gorgeous, Signature, Le Creuset Marseille Blue 3-1/2 Qt Oval Wide Dutch Oven that is a very rare find. These have not been available for sale in this size and shape for quite a while. I found this tucked away in my storage area where it has safely been residing for several years. The Marseille Blue is my favorite Le Creuset blue. This is brand new, in it's original box, although the box may not be in perfect condition. It has all the original labels on the side and bottom and comes with the original Le Creuset booklet and 4 plastic bumpers for storing the lid safely. This dutch oven measures approx 10-3/4" long and across the 2 side handles, measures about 13-3/4" long. It is about 8-3/4 wide a the widest area.
It stands 3-1/2" high without the lid on and with the lid, measures 5-1/2" to the top of the knob. This is one of the Signature Series of Le Creuset, so it comes with the larger side handles, bigger knob on the lid for easier grasping, and the enamel is supposed to be tougher. Love this size-it's large enough for a casserole for family, and large enough for a roast or chicken with veggies beside it to cook in the oven or on the stove. It is lovely enough to just leave out on your stove or counter to use frequently or to just use as a part of your kitchen decor. As with all Le Creuset cast iron items, this can be used in the oven, stove top, refrigerator, freezer, and the dishwasher--although I prefer to hand wash mine in some hot soapy water-even with crusted on food, by soaking for a few minutes in hot soapy water, it easily cleans up with a nylon scrubbie.
