Vintage Wager Sidney O No 4 Cast Iron Oval Roaster Excellent Cond circa 1920

This 100+ yr old Wagner No 4 cast iron oval roaster in excellent seasoned condition. The cooking surface is in exceptional condition with just a few hint of utensil scoring and corrosion. Entire interior surface is near glass smooth to the touch. Four sheets of printer paper stops movement on a granite surface. No chips, cracks or repairs to pot and cover. Test for flatness of pot. With the pot resting on a polished granite surface, press down all along the top rim of the pot searching for movement. If movement is found, slip pieces of printer paper under one edge of the until pot stops moving. This item is from an old collection and was cleaned and seasoned, then stored for many years.

Because item was stored for many years, there may be spots of light surface rust. This can generally be washed away then re-seasoned before use. This item is photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details.

Under these lighting conditions, item may take on a brown color. Item is much darker under normal light.
